NECC Presentation, CCBC Podcast Feature Into the Book
Into the Book continues to draw crowds, and raves! A capacity crowd was in attendance at ISTE’s National Educational Computing Conference in San Antonio—about 100 teachers with their own laptops—to participate in a workshop on how to best utilize Into the Book, the award-winning language arts product from Wisconsin Educational Communications Board that is distributed by AIT. The series has won a 2007 Parents' Choice Silver Honor Award, two 2007 Telly Bronze Awards, and a 2007 Aurora Gold Award. It features the teaching techniques of Ms. Marni Pingel, a third-grade reading teacher at Franklin Elementary School in Oshkosh, WI. Ms. Pingel is the featured interviewee in the June podcast by the Cooperative Children’s Book Center at the University of Wisconsin Madison, one of the foremost children’s literature libraries in the country.
